Founder’s Finale

by Jeffrey R. Miller, CFA

At Armor Investment Advisors, we have been planning for my succession for several years. This final quarter of 2024 will represent the culmination of that process. We have transitioned most of my responsibilities to my successor, Adam Morgan, a process which has gone well and certainly exceeded my expectations. Adam and the rest of the team have built a sound investment process for the future. As this year closes my participation will be complete.

I have enjoyed a long and fascinating career, having experienced both great and challenging times while working in a variety of environments. There were times of great stress, but I long ago accepted that to keep learning as a person one must embrace change. I never wanted life to be boring.

As I approach my 70th year, I know that I must focus my efforts on health and family. That is precisely what I intend to do. Like many of you, my wife and I will settle into our new home and put some long deferred travel plans in place.

I will continue to enjoy the world of investing, but it will be focused on just a few family and friends. The intellectual challenge of investing never stops being interesting. I hope it will keep the noodle between the ears healthy for a couple more decades. I doubt I’ll ever recapture my golf handicap, though.

The best part of this soon-to-be former vocation has always been the belief that I was always able to do right by you, our clients, and hope you know that.

That’s enough, I am not one for long speeches, so I bid you farewell.—J. Miller
